Seattle AI Film Festival 2026
The Seattle AI Film Festival (SAIFF) happens this Aug. 29-30 at VICE Seattle!
SAIFF brings together filmmakers, musicians, animators, technologists, and curious audiences to explore what storytelling looks like in the age of generative AI. You'll see award-winning short and long-form AI films drawn from over 35 countries. You'll learn about breakthrough experiments, emerging formats, new audience experiences, and hear from some of the AI creators building them.
On Day 1 Saturday 8/29, SAIFF is proud to present the exclusive Seattle premiere of "Whispers", an interactive detective drama created by 3X Emmy Award Winner Bernie Su and the team at Pickford AI.
A fusion of cinematic storytelling and audience participation, Whispers has been nominated for a 2026 Primetime Emmy Award for Media Innovation. After the screening, Bernie will talk about the narrative and technical background of Whispers with Brent Friedman, a Whidbey Island resident with narrative credits that range from Star Wars Rebels to multiple Call of Duty franchise releases.

On Day 2, Sunday August 30, SAIFF is proud to present a select screening from the Tokyo Stories series of short AI films produced this past spring by TYO, one of Japan's leading production companies for film and advertising. If you've ever wondered about the world's largest city from the perspectives of its people, its plants, and its supernatural spirits, Tokyo Stories is for you!
