About Event

An exclusive screening of the new PBS documentary, Sacred Planet, followed by Q+A with host Gulnaz Khan.

Followed by a discussion on how spiritual traditions and deeply held values can shape climate change narratives to inspire and inform audiences on the need for climate action.

We will examine:

  • How can ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary faith perspectives reframe climate action as sacred duty rather than burden?

  • What role do values-based narratives play in moving beyond fear-based climate messaging to hope-centered mobilization?

  • What storytelling approaches from faith traditions can help us connect climate science to human hearts and moral imagination?

  • How can faith-informed climate narratives influence policy, investment, and business decisions at scale?

  • Why do values-driven climate messages often struggle to break through in secular spaces, and how can we bridge this gap authentically?

Speakers:

  • Gulnaz Khan, Host, Sacred Planet, PBS

  • Jordan Collins, Learning & Development Content Curation, TED

  • Andrew Marshall, Chief Communications and Marketing Officer, World Resources Institute

  • Richa Karmarkar, Religion News Service
