[winter solstice celebration]: on a quiet night I can hear her breathing...
Join us for an evening of song, story, ceremony, and togetherness to honor the longest night.
Arundati Roy has written, "Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet [night] I can hear her breathing."
This solstice gathering seeks to honor the new worlds that are born in the fruitful darkness. It yearns to sing to the places of birth where all things are born; womb; soil; ocean depths; the roots in winter. This winter solstice we can honor the dark, unknowable mystery that births the world. What worlds are being born in the obscurity of your own soul? Come and open the channel with us!
Dress warmly, as this event will take place outside! We will have a large vegetarian soup available, but ask those who can to bring a potluck dish to share!
Live music from Oona + Ayo, Sheepish King, Jahosophat, and more.
Hosted by Animists East Bay.
