About Event

WHEN presents the Home Edition of our annual Wannabe Toxic Free (WTF) event: reclaiming health, awareness, and agency.

Join us at the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI), Spadina on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM for an informative panel discussion on how we can keep our homes healthy through advocacy and individual actions, followed by multiple fun activities like home decor and clothing swaps, a DIY product workshop, and shop sustainable home products!

Our homes should be places of care, safety, and connection, not toxic exposure. Tickets include admission to everything! (Panel, Clothing and Home Decor Swap, Workshop)

Agenda

Panel Discussion (12:30 PM - 2:00 PM) with speakers Anna-Liza Badaloo & Adrianna Trifunovski

Join us to learn about common toxic exposure sources in our homes, how environmental factors like chemical exposure, climate change, and pollution affect our health, and practical ways to reduce exposure. We will also discuss how gaps in Canadian policy increase risks and create barriers to Environmental Justice, particularly for marginalized communities (Hosted in Room 101 on the first floor).

Activities (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) with Anarres Natural Health & Waterfront Refillery, and more.

Following the panel, you will be able to access the home decor swap (1-3 items, guidelines listed in FAQ!), a two-part DIY cleaning products workshop (taking home samples of laundry detergent and all-purpose cleaner), and shop sustainable home product vendors in the Ground Floor meeting rooms. Plus free tea provided by Pluck, a local company that sources sustainably and ethically made tea! Please bring two containers to take your DIY product samples home in. Do not purchase new, use what you already have: plastic or glass containers with lids, old bottles from a juice you purchased, or glass jars work perfectly!

Clothing Swap (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM) with the Good Swap Toronto

Hosted in the Ground Floor Lounge of CSI, Spadina. Clothing swap for all genders, all bodies, all ages. All of the dopamine, none of the dilemma! Up to 10 items or 2 regular-sized grocery bags, drop off between 12 pm & 1:30 pm. Check out the FAQ section for more swap and item guidelines. The Good Swap portion of this event is supported by the City of Toronto through Live Green Toronto and the Neighbourhood Climate Action Grants program.
