Scott Snibbe Artist Talk and Guided Meditation
Scott Snibbe will share an artist’s talk exploring the spiritual dimensions of his work from the 1990s to the present. Tracing a path from his pioneering interactive media works to new projects inspired by the sacred geometry of Tibetan thangka painting, Snibbe reflects on how art, technology, and contemplative practice can reveal deeper qualities of mind and experience. The talk will conclude with a brief guided meditation paired with a new work of art.
Snibbe’s career has included exhibitions at MoMA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, London’s Institute of Contemporary Art, SFMOMA, and Tokyo’s Intercommunications Center. His recent book, How to Train a Happy Mind, with a foreword by the Dalai Lama, shares the little-known techniques of analytical meditation in a nonreligious form.
