Solarpunk Part 7: Action
We’ve learned about Solarpunk, now what? Let’s brainstorm actions, or organizations, possible futures, and what we want to do to make those happen.
We made it to the end of our journey, a place to which we didn't even know we were heading when we started!
Homework this week - since it's all about "acting" this week, the homework is a bit different. Below are your options (please choose one):
Find, learn about, and share with this group an organization or project that you think has the potential to scale and promote awareness and progression of solarpunk. Consider taking a field trip to their site and even inviting someone from that organization or project to our next meeting.
Write-up a dreamer piece on an organization or project you wish existed and let this group brainstorm ways to bring that to life.
Revisit one of our examples from a previous session and go deeper - think about what it would take to make it happen, or flesh out a particular detail we missed in the session.
In your evaluations please answer the following questions:
What layer of community does this address?
What is your impression of the scalability of this organization or project?
What is one barrier to impact this organization or project is facing?
How is this organization Solarpunk? How is it not?
