NVIDIA is excited to kick off the Spark Hack Series in San Francisco.
This event will bring together frontier builders, applied ML engineers, systems engineers, and startup teams to push the boundaries of fully local AI development on next-generation NVIDIA compute.
All teams will receive access to Dell Pro Max with GB10 units featuring Arm-based and NVIDIA DGX Spark compute.

How to Participate
This hackathon is limited to a maximum of 30 teams. Once we reach capacity, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist and notified if a spot becomes available.
Application Guidelines:
Team Size: Minimum 3 / Maximum 5 members.
Priority: Full team applications will be prioritized over individual applications. We highly encourage you to form and apply as a team.
Individuals: If you apply as an individual, we will do our best to match you with a team. If accepted, you will be required to compete with your assigned team.
Challenge Tracks
All submissions must align with one of the three Challenge Tracks below. Leveraging open data from the City of San Francisco, these tracks guide submissions across diverse facets of urban life and community growth.
Each track defines a theme of impact, not the scope of your idea - teams are free to build any solution using any of the open datasets linked above.
1. Human Impact
Focus: Enhancing the health, safety, and economic well-being of SF residents.
The Goal: Use data to build tools that improve individual lives, streamline access to social services, or promote economic equity.
Example Datasets Categories: Health & Social Services, Public Safety, Economy & Community, Housing & Buildings.
2. Environmental Impact
Focus: Driving sustainability, urban resilience, and smarter resource management.
The Goal: Address the "green" future of the city by optimizing how we use energy, manage waste, and move through urban spaces.
Example Datasets Categories: Energy & Environment, Transportation, City Infrastructure, Geographic Locations.
3. Cultural Impact
Focus: Celebrating the soul of San Francisco through arts, recreation, and community identity.
The Goal: Use data to make the city’s rich cultural and recreational offerings more accessible, or to preserve the history of its unique neighborhoods.
Example Datasets Categories: Culture and Recreation, Economy & Community (Small Business), Film Commission, Geographic Data.
