​If you’re like most leaders, you already know AI is no longer optional. But most of what you’ve heard so far has been too technical, too tactical, or disconnected from your business reality. This program is designed to cut through the noise. It equips COOs with the frameworks and skills to lead AI as a business transformation — not a tech project — starting with applying the CRIT framework to their most meaningful strategic challenge.

​COO Forum's Strategic AI COO Certificate Program gives participants the tools to deliver value for organizations and to provide advanced skills needed for the future. This one-of-a-kind program is built specifically for COOs by COOs. This program is cohort based, which means you gain practical, real-life experiences from peer participants. 

​The program is built around six key modules:

​Module One - The Strategic COO: AI Leadership Foundations

​Module Two - People, Culture & Change Leadership

​Module Three - The AI Maturity Framework

​Module Four - Operating Model & Execution Framework

​Module Five - Governance, Risk & Responsible AI

​Module Six - The AI Innovation Lab

​Who is this program built for?

• ​Chief Operating Officers (COO) - You are currently in the role or preparing for role. You are the primary operations leader in your organization, reporting at the executive level.

• ​Operations Executives - You are the primary operations leader in your organization, reporting at the executive level. Your title may be different from COO.

​How does program work?

• ​The first module is a three-hour-live-virtual session beginning on November 7th, 2025.

• ​During November and December, you will work through assessing your organization and developing your transformation framework.

• ​Then, Modules 2 through 6 will be held beginning in January 2026. These will be 1-1/2 hour-live-virtual sessions with sessions bi-weekly lasting through March 2026.

• ​At the conclusion of Module 6, you will be expected to present your capstone project for grading.

​What are the certification requirements?

• ​Certification is awarded on a Pass/Fail basis. Grading is determined by class attendance and a grade of 80% or higher on your capstone project.

• ​Capstones are reviewed and graded by our Program Chair and certification committee.

​What happens after I pass the requirements?

• ​Congratulations! You will be recognized by COO Forum as a certificate holder and celebrated across varies media platforms.

• ​You will earn both a digital badge and certificate to showcase in your credentials.
