Self-Publishing Your AI Assisted Books: What to Know (Day 1 of 2)
You've used AI to help write your book—but getting it out into the world is a whole different challenge. Between formatting, cover design, and deciding where (and how) to sell, pursuing self-publishing can feel overwhelming. This session aims to make it feel manageable.
We'll focus primarily on publishing through Amazon KDP, walking the practical path from finished manuscript to live listing. You'll learn how to format your manuscript into a clean, professional .EPUB using tools like Atticus, Vellum, and Kindle Create, and how to design an eye-catching cover with image-generation tools—including Sudowrite's Visualize, Nano Banana, and GIMP. We'll also weigh the pros and cons of listing on Kindle versus alternatives like Gumroad, so you can choose the storefront that best fits your book and your goals.
By the end, you'll have a clear, practical roadmap for self-publishing your AI-assisted book—from a properly formatted file, to a cover that sells, to the right platform to launch on.
This session will be led by J.S. Malvado.
