Vampires who've waited centuries, shifters torn between pack and partner, a ghost who can't move on until someone finally sees them—paranormal romance pairs the thrill of the supernatural with a love story that refuses to stay buried. And just days before Halloween, there's no better time to write one. But how do you get from a flicker of an idea to actual pages, with both the ""paranormal"" and the ""romance"" pulling their weight? In this hands-on, two-hour workshop, we'll walk through writing one start to finish, with Sudowrite as your co-writer.
Together we'll go from first spark to opening pages: brainstorming and shaping your concept, building your leads in the Story Bible (what they want, what they're hiding, and what makes them dangerous to love), and setting just enough supernatural rules to make your world feel real without overshadowing the romance. We'll map a full romantic arc into a beat-by-beat outline—the first meeting, the secret that can't stay hidden, the forces pulling them together and tearing them apart, the dark moment, and the hard-won happily-ever-after—then draft real prose, leaning on Sudowrite to help you write, revise, and deepen those swoon-worthy (and spine-tingling) emotional beats.
