Framework of Fear: Develop Your Horror Novel with Sudowrite Chat (Day 3 of 5)

Horror becomes personal when the threat attacks something a character cannot afford to lose.

In the third session of Framework of Fear, we’ll develop protagonists, antagonistic forces, and supporting characters who can carry a horror novel. We’ll explore desire, fear, wounds, contradictions, agency, and the pressures that force characters to reveal who they really are.

Using Sudowrite Chat and Character Cards, we’ll brainstorm possibilities, examine character consistency, and connect inner conflict to the external horror without asking AI to invent finished characters for us.

By the end of the session, you’ll have character foundations shaped by the story’s central fear, with personal stakes and relationships that can generate meaningful conflict.

Framework of Fear is a five-part live series in which we’ll build a horror Story Bible with Sudowrite Chat. Each session develops one connected part of the novel—from the creative foundation and characters to the world and story structure—so that by the end of the series, you have a cohesive foundation you can begin drafting from.
