Bay Area Rising Listening Party - Valentines Weekend
We’re bringing back BAR Listening Parties — a cozy, living-room style gathering where emerging Bay Area artists share their new and unreleased music, the stories behind their art, and experiment with intimate live performances.
Bay Area Rising is a community-based organization that hosts intimate “listening parties” — the kind of raw, close-up vibes you’d find in an NPR Tiny Desk — all throughout San Francisco. What started as a passion project has grown into a movement: a community, a safe space, and a stage dedicated to uplifting rising independent artists across the Bay.
And now… we finally have a home.
We’re excited to introduce our first-ever studio in the Marina — our creative home base where artists, musicians, and storytellers can gather, create, and connect. This space is more than a venue; it’s a living room for the Bay Area’s creative community. A place where you can pull up, meet new people, discover new voices, and experience music in its purest form.
If you love music, want to support up-and-coming artists, or are looking for a place to meet other creatives in the Bay, we’d love to welcome you into our new Marina studio for the next listening party!

We’re creating a gathering centered on community — love for yourself, for friends, for family, for chosen family, and significant others
The heart of the night is about showing up for one another. Being in a room where no one feels out of place — whether you came with someone or arrived solo. A space that feels welcoming, intimate, and shared.
The design of the space and activities are meant to be experienced together. Small gestures of connection — giving flowers, receiving flowers, & moments that invite interaction without pressure.
It’s about being present, being seen, and celebrating all the ways love shows up.
