Robots in the Pub
Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are revolutionising industrial operations, as well as the tasks we perform in everyday life. Join researchers from the Oxford Robotics Institute (ORI) at “Robotics in the Pub” for a chance to learn about how the team are working with a fleet of robots and harnessing the latest technologies to answer the core question: how can AI and robots work with or for humans?
Further details
The session will be hosted by ORI Director and Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Nick Hawes, who will be showcasing the challenges of deploying autonomous systems in real-world applications. Nick will be joined by researchers from the ORI research groups, discussing questions such as: how does a robot “see” and how can it reliably make sense of the data it collects? Further, how can robots reliably navigate and make effective decisions to complete their missions? The team will touch on how we can leverage core ideas from neuroscience, artificial intelligence and economic theory to inform how machines learn.
