ClimART Cafe: Mothers in Me Will Meet You There
In this ClimART Cafe (art exhibition meets Climate Cafe), you’ll have the opportunity to share your emotions about climate change with a caring, concerned community, while enveloped by artwork that explores our emotional and spiritual relationship with Earth amid climate crisis. Art has the capacity to resonate with our deepest emotions, and this pairing with The Mothers in Me Will Meet You There exhibition offers space for reflection and imagination.
WHAT TO EXPECT: We’ll begin with a Climate Cafe in the gallery (introductions, grounding meditation, then open it up to share our climate feelings) led by Nicole Cooper, artist, and Josh Nodiff, Founder & Executive Director of Climate Imaginarium. This will be followed by a short gallery tour. No previous art knowledge or Climate Cafe experience necessary. Join us!
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: The Mothers In Me Will Meet You There: Paintings by Nicole Cooper explores Active Hope through figurative oil paintings to investigate the complex emotions surrounding climate change. In a moment when awareness is widespread yet action remains elusive, these works engage the human dimension that scientific data alone cannot reach, honoring anxiety, grief, love, and hope as pathways toward connection and collective action.
Exhibition on view: February 9 - March 27, 2026. Gallery Hours: Wednesday - Sunday 1:00 - 5:00 PM (Hours subject to change, call to confirm: 212-242-8945)
