Wildlife in a Warming World: Technology, Policy and the Future of Conservation
Climate change is not only transforming landscapes and ecosystems. It is also reshaping where animals can live, how they migrate, and whether threatened species can survive.
At the same time, habitat destruction, wildlife trafficking, pollution, and human-wildlife conflict are placing additional pressure on animals around the world. Protecting wildlife requires more than awareness. It calls for stronger policy, responsible technology, investigative journalism, international cooperation, and new approaches to conservation.
Hosted by Yorkseed during Climate Week NYC, this cross-disciplinary conversation will bring together leaders from wildlife protection, environmental journalism, public policy, and conservation technology.
Together, they will explore some of these topics:
• How climate change is affecting wildlife and natural habitats
• The connection between animal protection, biodiversity, and climate resilience
• How wildlife trafficking and environmental crime threaten ecosystems
• How AI, remote sensing, bioacoustics, and other technologies are being used to protect animals
• The role of journalism and storytelling in exposing environmental threats and influencing public action
• How international policy and cooperation can strengthen wildlife protection
• Where technology, capital, and entrepreneurship can support scalable conservation solutions
• How businesses, investors, governments, and communities can help protect the living world
