Delicious Salad of Cultures
Overview
As part of the Voice of Change project, this panel will explore how ART, and especially music, serve as tools for social change. We will reflect on how intentional spaces can act as social and political statements, where representation, inclusion, and diversity become agents of resistance against gender-based violence.
We are also exploring the SPORT of Dialogue—a practice that has the powerful impact of bringing people to be curious about each other, to know each other, and to create a “new” common delicious salad of cultures.
An intimate conversation between two diaspora women entrepreneurs and changemakers, where they bring their unique “ingredients” to the mix and interact with the audience to co-create the most delicious salad of cultures together.
So… how hungry are you?
🎤 Nour
Using MUSIC as the universal language that allows people to truly see one another, Nour created SAHRA (meaning “a night out” in Arabic), Berlin’s pioneering Arabic club night and cultural platform. What began as a response to the lack of representation in nightlife grew into pockets of home — spaces where diasporic communities and allies could gather, where joy became resistance, and where belonging could take root.
Over time, SAHRA has grown into more than an event: it is a living platform that reimagines how spaces can hold resistance, nurture connection, and spark transformation. Through sold-out nights, international recognition, and the launch of the SAHRA Academy for underrepresented talent, Nour shows how arts and culture can carry both healing and rebellion, expanding what is possible for communities too often unheard.

🎤 Maha
Passionate about the power of dialogue to bridge differences and shape the future, Maha created The Sport of Dialogue — a training inspired by leading figures in international coaching and psychology. Over the years, she brought together many circles of diaspora women, opening spaces of safety, curiosity, and connection.
The impact was profound: women became more curious about their own and their new environments, reached out to learn about others, and shared more of themselves. What began as a single circle grew into many, shaping new possibilities for dialogue and belonging.
