Oceania: Journey to the Center ~ Online Community Screening + Q&A | EST timezone
We are excited to announce our first online community-wide screening of Oceania: Journey to the Center, an award-winning film of community and climate resilience. We hope that you join us for this special event as part of our impact work to raise awareness and create positive change through film. Your attendance to this screening directly supports the next phase of impact as we kick off our Pacific Impact Tour in August.
Oceania: Journey to the Center takes place in Pacific Island Nation of Kiribati, the island nation predicted by scientists to become uninhabitable in the next decade due to sea level rise. Oceania follows Kiribati elder Tekinati Ruka on a journey of Kiribati history, the strength and wisdom of her people, and the climate realities they face.
Award-winning filmmaker and local Natalie Zimmerman has spent the past 10 years developing relationships and capturing this story. The 75 minute film will be followed by a Q&A with Impact Producer, Lindsay Gordon.
This film has been awarded Best International Feature, Best Female Director, Wild Woman Award, and Cinemar Ocean Conservation Award, and is available in 6 languages. 2026 marks the beginning of our climate resilience Impact Projects.
