https://hack.energyclub.gatech.edu/
Event Description
EnergyHack at GT is a 36 hour hackathon that brings together students who want to solve real problems in the energy sector. Participants will work in teams to brainstorm, design, and prototype solutions that move the industry forward. Projects can take many forms including AI and machine learning tools, web applications, hardware concepts, and data driven models. Throughout the event, teams will learn from keynote speakers, attend workshops, and receive guidance from industry mentors. A panel of judges will evaluate all final submissions, and the top three teams will receive prizes. The competition will take place in-person on-campus.
This year’s hackathon features three focused tracks that reflect the most important areas of the energy transition:
Renewables This track centers on solar, wind, hydro, and other clean power sources. Participants will explore ways to expand renewable deployment, increase reliability, and design new approaches to sustainable generation. Electrification and Mobility This track focuses on transportation and infrastructure as they shift toward electric systems. Topics include charging solutions, grid informed mobility planning, and tools that support an efficient low emission transportation future. Smart Grid This track highlights the digital transformation of the power system. Participants will tackle challenges involving real time monitoring, intelligent load management, and strategies for building a modern and resilient grid.
