Houston Innovation Commons: Make Your Idea Testable
Houston Innovation Commons presents our second session!
Houston has no shortage of designers, builders, and innovators. What's been missing is a dedicated space to practice the craft, sharpen your skills, and find the people who are serious about the same things you are.
Houston Innovation Commons is changing that.
What's happening at this session:
Make Your Idea Testable
Every idea comes with a set of beliefs baked in. Beliefs about who needs it, why they'd use it, and what would make it work. Most of the time, we don't even realize they're there.
This session is about finding them.
Join Houston Innovation Commons for a hands-on working session where you'll learn to surface the assumptions underneath your ideas and figure out which ones are worth testing first.
Think of it as a friendlier entry point into the kind of hypothesis-driven methods that experienced innovators use.
What You'll Do
Frame the real problem behind your idea. Sketch it in context. Map what you're assuming — and decide what to go find out.
What You'll Leave With
You'll leave with a clearer ideas, new knowledge, and great connections.
Who Should Attend
Innovators curious about design thinking or looking to build their design skills
Community builders invested in Houston's ecosystem
Anyone who's experienced the challenge of finding the right connections
People working in design, innovation, strategy, or product development
No design experience required — just bring your stories and curiosity.
