Rotating headset viewing

Debrief and collective reflections
About Virtual Reality
Participants are responsible for their own safety and personal wellbeing. By attending, you agree that VR can be disorienting and if it bothers you that you should take off the headset at any time. Tea and cookies on site to help with feelings of disorientation!
A note about Immersive Story Club
This club is less about critical feedback to change the films and more an inquiry into activating existing tech and experiences - and in a DIY way, asking how sharing them can be a catalyst for human-led care and redistributed creative agency as a format.
No tech background required.
About Danielle Giroux
Danielle Giroux is a research artist working at the intersections of immersive storytelling, technology, craft, and community programming. She is interested in counter-examples to dominant technology narratives by foregrounding togetherness, relational infrastructure, and shared creative agency. Her experience spans XR film distribution leadership in Paris and program direction in residential youth education in New England. She is currently developing this work with support from Agog, with Games for Change, and part of the MIT Open Documentary Lab XR Distribution Coalition. Danielle is part of the Gray Area 2026 Cultural Incubator in San Francisco.
