About the Salon Talk

Physical AI is moving intelligence off the screen and into the spaces we inhabit. But capability alone does not determine whether we want to live with it.

In this online Salon Talk, Katie Lim will share the human-centered design process behind Nome, frog’s domestic robotics concept. She will discuss how form, posture, movement, sound, and everyday ritual can transform technical capability into a legible, trustworthy presence.

Rather than asking only what a robot can do, this conversation considers how physically embodied intelligence communicates its intentions, responds to its context, and earns a place within human environments.

Conversation Themes

  • Context-first robotics

  • Motion and sound as communication

  • Trust and domestic belonging

  • Form, posture, and physical presence

  • Designing for everyday rituals

  • Collaborative robot ecosystems
