About Event

PRE-SEED TRACK · TUESDAY SERIES — Zero to First Revenue

Most co-founder relationships don't break because of a dramatic falling out. They break because two people never aligned on the things that matter — and by the time it surfaces, the cost is enormous.

About this event

Co-founder splits are one of the leading causes of early-stage company failure — and almost every founder who has been through one will tell you the same thing: the signs were there early, but nobody wanted to have the conversation. It felt premature. Things were going well enough. You didn't want to create tension where there wasn't any. And then six months later, twelve months later, you're in a situation that is expensive, distracting, and deeply personal — happening at exactly the moment when the company needs all of your attention.

The conversations that prevent co-founder splits aren't difficult conversations. They're just ones that feel unnecessary until suddenly they're urgent. Equity splits, role clarity, decision-making authority, what happens if one person wants to leave, how you handle a down round, what your personal financial floors are — these are all completely normal things to discuss explicitly, upfront, before you've built anything together. The founders who do it aren't paranoid. They're just ahead of the problem.

This session goes into the specifics — with a guest who has either been through a co-founder split and can speak to what they'd do differently, or a legal or mediation expert who has helped founders navigate these situations and can tell you exactly what to put in writing before you need it.

We'll cover:

  • The conversations every co-founding team should have in the first 90 days — and most don't

  • How to structure equity, vesting, and roles in a way that holds up under pressure

  • The early warning signs that a co-founder relationship is drifting — and how to address them before they compound

  • What a co-founder split actually costs — in time, money, and company momentum — and how the legal process works if you end up there

Then we open the floor. Bring your co-founder questions, your current dynamic, or your concerns — the Q&A is live and unfiltered.

Your guest

[Guest TBD — confirmed 3 days before the event.] This session features either a founder who went through a co-founder split and can speak honestly about what happened and what they'd do differently — or a startup attorney or mediator who has handled these situations and can walk through what to put in place before you need it.

Format: 25-min conversation · 15-min live Q&A

Who this is for: B2B SaaS and AI founders who are building with a co-founder — at any stage, but especially pre-seed and seed — and want to get the important conversations on the table before the stakes make them harder to have.

YOUR HOST

Yannick Kpodar is a 2x VP/CMO turned General Partner at Aventra Capital and founder of Full Stack CEO™. Over 15+ years, he's helped B2B SaaS teams raise $396M+, reach unicorn valuation, and scale from single-digit ARR to $45M+ across the US and Europe — at companies including LinkedIn, PayFit, and Amenitiz. He now builds operating systems that give founders investor-grade control over GTM, metrics, and capital without burning themselves or their teams.

Free weekly events run three times a week across three stage-specific tracks: Pre-Seed (Tuesdays), Seed (Wednesdays), and Series A (Thursdays) — each with guests matched to what founders at that stage are actually dealing with.
