About Event

What are the Workshop Series?

We know how challenging it can be to stand out in today’s competitive job market. This workshop series is designed to:

  • Provide real-world, practical experience.

  • Help you develop technical skills through guided, hands-on sessions.

  • Facilitate networking with peers and industry professionals.

Who is it for?

  • SREs, DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers (Backend).

  • Practitioners seeking actionable guidance on Observability.

  • Experience with Kubernetes & Microservices will be required to complete the hands-on exercises.

What to Expect

You'll join a small group to explore:

  • The state of the art in monitoring modern distributed systems.

  • Techniques for rapidly diagnosing real-world production issues using correlated logs, metrics, and traces.

  • Practical exercises to apply learnings.

Our instructor is Ali Ibrahim, a Principal Site Reliability Engineer. Ali has over ten years of experience in DevOps and SRE and has previously worked at HashiCorp, Delivery Hero, and eBay.

Why is there a £5 fee?

In the past, we’ve found that free events often lead to no-shows, which affects the experience for everyone involved.

By charging a small fee, we’re helping to ensure that those who sign up are committed to showing up and making the most of the session.

This also shows respect for our instructors, who are generously giving their time and experience to support your learning.

All proceeds will be going to a trustworthy charity that helps our people back home: https://www.rhicharity.com/mobile-clinics/

If cost is a genuine barrier, reach out via [email protected] — we’d rather help you attend than miss out.
