Open House: Laboratory on AI, Climate & Society (LAICS)
This inaugural LAICS Open House is a small gathering designed specifically for students and researchers whose expertise, curiosity, and potential partnership are especially important to building this community and advancing the Lab's work.
The Laboratory on AI, Climate and Society (LAICS) brings together researchers, students, practitioners, and community partners working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, Earth science, and social equity. Our mission is to advance transparent, accountable, and equitable AI that strengthens climate science and environmental decision-making while serving communities most affected by a changing planet.
We hope this gathering creates space for students and researchers to connect across disciplines and sectors, share emerging ideas, and identify opportunities for meaningful collaboration, student engagement, and community partnership.
