Edinburgh Digital Finance Summit 2027 Sep 14t-15th
Two days on the convergence of traditional and decentralised finance, in the city that manages assets on a scale few European capitals match.
Blockchain Scotland's two annual summits come together in 2027 as a single event. Day one is written for finance professionals. Day two is written for the people building the technology. Delegates are welcome to attend either day or both, and the evening between them is where the two audiences meet.
Day one, Tuesday 14 September: Tokenisation Day
Tokenisation, digital assets and regulation. This day is deliberately non-technical. The technology is assumed rather than explained, and the sessions stay on what tokenised assets do to funds, custody, settlement, cost and client demand, and on where UK and international regulation now stands.
For asset managers, banks, custodians, fund administrators, digital asset investors, legal advisers, regulators and government.
Day two, Wednesday 15 September: Innovation Day
Innovation, technology, decentralised finance, autonomous finance, agentic finance and AI. This is the technical day. It looks at what the technology can now do rather than at how it is packaged, and the sessions are led by the people building the systems under discussion.
For founders, engineers, protocol teams, researchers, product leaders and venture investors.
First speakers confirmed
Dr Lisa Cameron — Founder of the UKUS Crypto Alliance and Chair of the Digital Assets Global Forum. Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2024, where she chaired the first Crypto and Digital Assets All Party Parliamentary Group in Westminster.
Dr Tom Wilkinson — Chief Data Officer, Scottish Government.
Dr Maciej Zurawski — Executive Director, Blockchain Scotland.
