Workshop: AI in CRE

​Co-hosted by Proptech Collective & North Group, a Canada-based AI transformation & training firm.

​Who this is for

​Real estate professionals in investment, asset management, leasing, development, and brokerage roles. You already use an AI assistant, such as Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT, for writing, Excel, presentations, or images, but you know there are better ways to work with it as a teammate than what you're doing now.

​You're not an absolute beginner, but you're not an expert either. You may know how to write a decent prompt, but you haven't gone deeper into the tool's settings and capabilities, or tried skills, projects, agents, custom GPTs, and scheduled automations.

​This isn't a lecture. We'll be building, with instructors circulating to help you get unstuck. We're curating the group so everyone in the room is dealing with similar problems — the same industry and the same kind of enterprise restrictions common across CRE.

​What to expect

​A small group with multiple instructors. You'll leave with a clear sense of what's possible, plus a better understanding of how others in similar roles and organizations use AI.

​Before the session, you'll complete a short survey. This is a requirement to ensure the session is tailored to the people in the room.

​The day

• ​Introduction. We're getting into it right away. We open with introductions and a shared understanding of where AI actually stands in CRE: what it's good for, what it isn't, and where everyone in the room is starting from (chatting, reusing, or automating).

• ​Building. We'll help you find the repeatable, well-defined task and create a plan. From there, we turn it into something that runs — a project, agent, GPT, a skill, or a scheduled automation. Something you can re-use. Most of the time is spent working on your project, with instructors supporting.

• ​Closing & Networking. We talk through what's next: what people built, where there are challenges, and how to move this forward in your organization.
  
  For anyone who wants to stick around, we'll have drinks and time to talk with the group.

​Logistics

​Bring a laptop. The session is platform-agnostic — we'll tailor instructions to whatever you're on. You'll need a paid plan on your platform of choice; we'll provide more details ahead of the session.

​Your Instructors

​Julian Wells and Taylor Duncan, co-founders of North Group, will deliver the session. North Group is a Canada-based AI transformation firm that helps organizations effectively use and deploy AI. North Group has trained organizations with tens of thousands of employees, both inside and outside of the commercial real estate sector.

​Julian has a real estate background. A BCBusiness 30 Under 30 recipient, he previously founded Studenthaus and built data and AI products used by developers, REITs, and governments. He now focuses on helping CRE teams implement AI effectively.

​Taylor was recently featured in Startup Growth Magazine and named to Douglas Magazine's 10 to Watch.  He now trains enterprise teams on AI adoption.
