Let 'Em Cook - A Climate Solutions Recipe Workshop
Young Eye International, in partnership with OCAD University’s Global Centre for Climate Action, present Let ‘Em Cook - a Climate Solutions Workshop!
What is a Climate Recipe Workshop? Creating solutions to complex world problems is a bit too similar to the science that goes behind preparing an authentic full-coarse meal. In our Climate Solutions Recipe Workshop, we will be taking Toronto’s Youth through a journey of problem identification, ideation, solution mapping and story-telling. In this hands-on workshop, youth from all disciplines will explore crucial and urgent climate issues. With the help of industry mentors, they will find ingredients (resources) and techniques (solutions) to create great meals (ventures) among people with tangible, real-life experiences.
Who can be a Chef? In reality - anyone. But for our event, we want to focus on one of our most driven but sadly forgotten demographic - Youth.
This workshop is specifically for Youth, aged 15 to 24 years. Participants under 18 years of age will be required to provide a guardian’s contact information.
The event capacity is 50 people - who will be grouped into teams of 5.
Duration: 2 Hours - with breaks of course, we’re not Gordan Ramsy.
No prior experience/knowledge required, just an unwavering passion!
In support from Sunlife, Lift 360 and Enviro-Stewards, we will also be offering continued education, support and mentorship to these young people after the workshop to work on their climate projects and being change in their communities.
