From Pledges to Pathways: An En-ROADS Climate Simulator Interactive Session
This is a paid event with a $20 admission fee. At this time we are able to accept cash only at the registration desk on the day of the event. Lunch will be provided. Thank you for your understanding.
The EN-ROADS Solutions Simulator was developed by Climate Interactive, MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative and Ventana Systems. It allows participants to simulate in real time the effects that policy makers and industrial leaders could have on meeting the global average temperature reduction targets set at the 2015 Paris Climate talks.
In this interactive session, participants will engage directly with the EN-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator to explore and understand the complexities of the climate crisis and the variety of solutions available to assist in meeting the goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement.
It is not mandatory, but having your laptop with you may enhance your engagement with the simulation.
Room Location: Room 436 in Limberlost Place (185 Queens Quay)

More TOCW Programming at Limberlost
If you're interested in further climate action programming, be sure to also register for a tour of Limberlost Place, one of Toronto’s most innovative mass timber buildings:
10:00 am to 11:00 am on June 2
Representatives from George Brown Polytechnic’s Registrar’s Office and Work-Integrated Learning teams will also be in attendance to discuss sustainability-focused academic programs and experiential learning opportunities
Then later in the evening, register for a special presentation by the Carbon Leadership Forum of the Post-Construction Life Cycle Assessment of Limberlost Place, offering real-world insights into the embodied carbon of an as-built project and highlighting both successes and opportunities for improving carbon reduction beyond the design stage.
About the Host
At Toronto Climate Week 2026, George Brown looks forward to connecting with the TOCW ecosystem and showcasing how polytechnic education can support climate action across sectors.
This workshop will be hosted by Brookfield Sustainability Institute and led by Dr. Kay-Ann Williams, who holds a PhD in Geography from Queen’s University. Dr. Williams has been teaching at post-secondary institutions in Ontario since 2010, with a focus on environmental science and sustainability. Her work and teaching interests include climate change, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the policy tools and strategies available to help achieve internationally agreed-upon climate and sustainability targets.
