As part of the Leading Change Summit 2026, participants are invited to join a guided evening kayaking experience through the wetlands and waterways connected to the Don River and Toronto Harbour.
This immersive outdoor experience offers summit participants an opportunity to connect directly with Toronto’s urban ecosystems while exploring themes of leadership, sustainability, restoration, resilience, and community stewardship in a hands-on setting.
Participants will paddle through scenic marshes and waterways while learning about:
The Don River watershed and Toronto Harbour ecosystem
Wetland ecology, biodiversity, and urban wildlife
Watershed restoration and conservation efforts
Indigenous and local history connected to the river system
The future of urban resilience, water systems, and nature-based solutions in Toronto
About the Host: The tour will be led by Don’t Mess With the Don, a Toronto-based environmental charity dedicated to protecting and improving the health of the Don River watershed through education, stewardship, recreation, and community engagement.
