Splash into Ocean Week: Water Testing at G. Ross Lord Park
Come celebrate Ocean Week Canada right in the heart of Toronto! Splash into Ocean Week is a fun, community-driven event at G. Ross Lord Park that brings neighbours together to learn, explore, and take action for the waterways we all love.
Participants will get hands-on with real water testing, discovering how the health of our local waterways connects all the way to the ocean. Thanks to equipment funding from Water Rangers, everyone will have the tools to explore water quality like a scientist! The event is packed with engaging activities, live demonstrations, and friendly discussions about how pollution affects our rivers, lakes, and oceans and what we can do about it.
This is a chance for Toronto’s community to connect with the water on their doorstep, gain a deeper appreciation for why clean water matters, and leave feeling inspired to help protect it. Whether you’re a longtime environmental champion or just curious about what’s in your local creek, there’s something here for everyone.
From local parks to the open ocean, every drop counts! Come make a splash with us!
Meet us at G. Ross Lord Park (meeting point at Torresdale Ave and Antibes Drive, just inside the park after the pedestrian crossing)
