Ocean and Water Education Fair – Part 1 – On-Land Learning
Oceanic Impact, in collaboration with the Milton Public Library, is hosting an Ocean and Water Education Fair to inspire community engagement in ocean and freshwater conservation. This family-friendly event will feature interactive, volunteer-run learning booths on topics like ocean noise, plastic pollution, pollinators, Canadian marine animals, art and more.
Local marine and freshwater organizations, researchers, and advocates are also invited to showcase their work, raise awareness on water-related issues, and introduce participants to exciting environmental career paths. Exhibitors will have opportunities to lead presentations or workshops throughout the day.
Part 1 of the fair includes a full day of hands-on learning, creativity, and community action where science, education, and the arts come together to protect our waters!
Join us for Part 2 of the fair in the evening for an experiential underwater experience and learn to scuba dive!
About the Host: Oceanic Impact is a marine conservation social enterprise dedicated to preparing the next generation of ocean leaders. Through practical and experiential learning, we bring ocean education to classrooms, homes, and communities.
