About Event

Join Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers for a hands-on community gardening session rooted in climate action, food justice, and neighbourhood resilience.

Together, we are transforming underutilized green space into productive urban farmland — restoring soil health, increasing biodiversity, reducing food insecurity, and strengthening local climate resilience.

Participants will learn about regenerative growing practices, composting, pollinator-friendly planting, and how community-led climate solutions can create lasting environmental and social impact.

No experience required. All are welcome. Come get your hands in the soil and be part of climate action at the local level.

About the Host: Thorncliffe Park Urban Farmers (TPUF) is a grassroots, volunteer-led urban agriculture initiative based in Toronto. TPUF works to restore degraded green spaces into productive ecological gardens that increase biodiversity, improve soil health, and address food insecurity in high-density neighbourhood of Thorncliffe Park.

Through community-led climate action, education, and regenerative growing practices, TPUF demonstrates how local food systems can strengthen climate resilience and environmental stewardship in urban communities.
