A Live Workshop with Lisa Popovici from Siena AI
We're back with our third edition of Inside the LP Room, which was created to give our community an inside look at the founders we believe in, themes we're tracking across our portfolio, and important LP educational topics.
This time, we're doing something a little different: a live, hands-on build.
The Council is partnering with Lisa Popovici, co-founder and president of Siena AI, for an interactive workshop on building your own AI chief of staff with Claude Code - a personal operating system that lives inside your tools, knows your world, and handles the meetings, follow-ups, and busywork that usually live in fourteen different tabs.
Lisa's last two workshops drew hundreds of founders and brand operators — and the #1 request coming out of them was "do one on Claude Code." Members of our own team joined, came away inspired, and immediately started implementing. Now we're bringing her playbook straight to The Council community.
You don't need to know how to code. Seriously.
What We'll Cover (we only have an hour, so we're keeping it tight):
Setup and connectors ~ installing Claude Code and wiring it into the tools you already run on (Slack, Notion, Gmail, Calendar, your CRM) so everything flows into one place
Building your system ~ the personal OS Lisa uses to run her function as a founder, with skills, prompts, and workflows that compound over time
Live Q&A ~ bring your workflows, your bottlenecks, and your "could Claude do this?" questions
Who Should Attend: Founders, operators, angels, and LPs who are drowning in context-switching. If you've ever wished you had a chief of staff who lived inside your tools and never forgot anything - this is for you.
Come Prepared (if you want to build along):
This can absolutely be a build-along! If you want to follow live, here's how to get set up beforehand:
1. A paid Claude account. Claude Code only works with a paid plan (Pro, Max, or Team - not the free one). If you don't have one, sign up at claude.ai before the workshop.
2. Install Claude Code on your Mac. Don't worry, you won't write any code. You'll just copy and paste one line:
Open the Terminal app: hold the command key (⌘) and press the spacebar, type "terminal," and press return. A plain window with text will open — that's Terminal.
Copy this line exactly:
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bashPaste it into the Terminal window (click into the window, then press command + V) and press return.
Wait until it finishes and you see a fresh blank line. You're done installing.
3. Sign in. In that same Terminal window, type claude and press return. Your browser will open and ask you to log in to your Claude account. Log in, then come back to Terminal. You're signed in.
4. Be logged into the tools we'll connect. We'll hook up Slack, Notion, Gmail, and Google Calendar live during the workshop. Nothing to install - just make sure you're already logged into each one in your browser so connecting is one click.
If something goes wrong: type claude doctor into Terminal and press return... it'll tell you what's missing. And if you get stuck, just show up! We'll sort it out together at the start.
Can't get set up beforehand? No stress. The recording goes out to all registrants and you can build along then.

Lisa Popovici is Co-Founder and President of Siena AI, the AI CX operating system for consumer brands - trusted by hundreds of brands including Spanx, FIGS, and Grüns. She's spent the last decade in ecommerce and the last three years building AI products that real brands use to run their CX in production. She also writes Lisa's AI Edit, a weekly newsletter sharing her AI experiments. She's been heads-down in Claude Code since it launched; this workshop is the playbook she wishes someone had handed her on day one.
Amber Illig is the General Partner at The Council Fund, where she invests in B2B software companies focused on essential industries such as manufacturing, legal, and healthcare. Her experience in operations leadership at companies like Eli Lilly, Apple, Snap, and Cruise sparked her passion for angel investing. As a co-founder of The Council Angels, a community of 200+ tech operators, Amber successfully made 30 personal angel investments, which paved the way for her to raise Fund I. With her extensive background as both an operator and an investor, Amber is dedicated to helping tech leaders navigate their own paths into LP & angel investing.
