A 5 Stories Workshop: Who Am I Now?
"Who are you?" said the Caterpillar.
"I–I hardly know, Sir, just at present," Alice replied rather shyly, "at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have changed several times since then."
Lost in the endless cycle of performing, you stumble upon a confronting question that changes everything: "Who are you?"
Like Alice facing the Caterpillar, you hardly know anymore – at least not the person you were this morning, because you've changed several times since then.
This workshop is your map back to yourself.
You can't grow your business if you don't know who you are.
To grow your business, you need to connect with people. To connect with people, you need to tell them who you are.
We change. We evolve. We forget to tell ourselves what it means.
So when it comes to growing our businesses and putting ourselves out there to build connections and sell our products and services, we stumble over our words. Or we say a lot of words without saying much at all.
We stutter. We sigh with shame because we realise we actually don't know how to say who we are, what we do, or how we help in a clear way. Because so much has happened so quickly. So much has changed so suddenly.
Guess you could say we feel a bit like Alice in that moment with the Caterpillar. 🐛
Why is this a problem for you?
You're having conversations that go nowhere because what you're saying isn't landing
You're losing potential clients because they can't see the value in what you're selling
You're struggling to explain what you do or how you help – even though you know your work matters
You're passing on opportunities because you can't find the words to say why you're the right person
You're rewriting the same bio, the same pitch, the same 'about page' – again and again – hoping this time it'll feel right
You're exhausted from performing a version of yourself that doesn't feel like you anymore
It's costing you creativity, connection and money.
How the 5 Stories method can help:
The 5 Stories is a proven method that's helped hundreds of entrepreneurs since 2018 find the words to say who they are, what they do, and why their work matters.
You'll write your way through your 5 Stories to connect back to:
Origin: Where you've been
Empathy: What you've lived through
Purpose: Why your work matters deeply to you
Problem: How you think about the problem you solve
Vision: The future you want to be a part of building
When you know your 5 Stories, you know yourself. And when you know yourself, you can be known for who you are.
This workshop is for you if...
You were laid off and you're staring at a blank page, figuring out who you are now
You became a parent and your business doesn't fit your life anymore
You launched with a clear vision but got distracted and drifted off your path
You're restless and ready for more, but the what, how and when feels fuzzy
You let go of a dream and you're figuring out what your work means to you now
We think the point is to be someone people know. It's not. The point is to be someone you know so you can be known for who you really are.
