About

Faces of Crypto is a monthly interview series held on the First Friday of each month at Hello Again Cafe in Chinatown. Featuring everyday folks — creatives, entrepreneurs, policymakers and people you would not typically associate with "crypto" or "blockchain" but are passionate about leveraging these technologies in their work, projects or business.

Sponsored by Stand With Crypto, a national crypto advocacy nonprofit, this series is organized by Inoa, a Hawaii-based blockchain technology consulting and education firm.

Registration required for admission. Free drink for the first 20 registered guests on-site!

Who Should Attend

Anyone interested in learning more about blockchain technology, cryptocurrency and most importantly, why these technologies matter to our guests who come from a variety of industries spanning real estate, academia, art, government and the world of philanthropy.

Knowledge of blockchain technology and crypto not necessary.

Our Guest (March)

Jana Ireijo is a Hawaiʻi-born visual artist whose work explores the intersection of ecological art, social practice, and emerging technologies. Best known for her vanishing murals - ephemeral works created with wildfire charcoal, saltwater, and soil - she creates site-specific installations that address climate change, environmental justice, and impermanence. These works are intentionally washed away in public ceremony, transforming disappearance into an act of collective memory and healing.

Her NFT project, Vanishing Murals: Hawai‘i Ocean, uses real-time ocean temperature data to drive dynamic digital art reflecting coral reef health. By bridging ephemeral storytelling with blockchain transparency, the project invites deeper engagement with environmental systems and the urgency of climate action.

Ireijo collaborates closely with scientists, cultural practitioners, and community leaders to guide each project - from materials to meaning. Through this layered approach, her work becomes both an offering and a question: How do we grieve what is disappearing, and how might we reimagine our role in protecting what remains?
