Intelligence Rising: A documentary about strategic simulation of AI futures

​This is a private screening of Intelligence Rising, a documentary selected for South by Southwest (SXSW) London and CPH:DOX, the Copenhagen documentary festival.

​The film follows an AI strategy wargame directed by i3 Gen, initiated by Marc Warner of Faculty.ai, with design input from Technology Strategy Roleplay (TSR). It brought together Stan McChrystal, Yuval Noah Harari, Stuart Russell, Pippa Malmgren, Lord Nicholas Fairfax, Mark Sedwill, Stephen Hsu and others to play out how artificial intelligence could reshape society. The documentary was directed by Elena Andreicheva of Nice Light.

​Reports treat ideas in isolation. A live multiplayer game does not. Players frustrate or enable each other’s strategies, and outcomes emerge that nobody at the table chose. The film shows what that looks like from inside the room.

​Sanjana Kashyap, Chief Operating Officer at TSR, will join us at Trajectory Labs and introduce the film. There will be time to stay and talk afterwards.
