​AI Agents & MCP Developer Workshops

​Join us for two days of developer workshops at the AI Summit to learn how to build basic AI Agents, Advanced Agents and even agent-to-agent solutions.

​Friday (Day 1) will start with combining text models and vector databases to create your first RAG application. It will concluded with you creating your first AI Agent.

​Saturday (Day 2) will start by creating an advanced Agent and end with a demonstration of how agents will be able to transact with each other through 3rd party marketplaces.

​Day 1 Workshop Details:

​Workshop #1: Creating an Agent with GraphRAG & MCP

​Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is the cornerstone of many Gen AI applications – from AI assistants to intelligent search to custom copilots. GraphRAG adds knowledge graphs to RAG to provide structured relationships and deeper context, enabling your app to connected ideas together instead of individual documents.  In this workshop you will learn how to use AllyCat, an open source application from the AI Alliance, to build your own Agent using using real-world content scraped from websites. We will walk through the two halves of AllyCat: 
1) Data: Crawling and scraping website data; 
2) Q&A: Using your own data, knowledge data and an LLM to generate context-aware answers. 
By the end, you will have created a working GraphRAG prototype powered by content you extracted yourself. This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to get their hands dirty with open source tools like Docling, web scraping Milvus, Neo4j, Granite embedding models and Llama LLMs. No prior AI experience required.

​Workshop #2: Building & Evaluating Effective MCP-tools for Agent Use

​AI agents are becoming essential components of modern applications — but giving them secure, structured access to enterprise data is still a major hurdle. In this hands-on workshop, developers will learn how to use Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to connect AI agents to real data sources with minimal setup.

​By the end of the session, you'll have a working data agent powered by MCP Servers, a clear understanding of how MCP fits into modern AI architectures, and the tools to extend your own applications with powerful, agent-native workflows.
