Session Overview
This session will provide attendees with a practical overview of the HR lifecycle and how it applies to startups at every stage of growth. Participants will learn how HR evolves from informal people management to more structured practices as businesses scale.
Key topics include hiring and onboarding fundamentals, employment classifications and compliance basics, performance management, culture and engagement, risk mitigation and preparing for growth. The session will highlight common HR pitfalls startups face and how to avoid them before they become costly issues. By the end of the session, attendees will understand what HR considerations matter at different stages of their business, how to make informed people decisions, and how to build a strong, compliant, and scalable foundation that supports both the team and long-term business objectives.
