Founder Dinner Club - Why Are We Building?
BLOCK71’s second exclusive Founder Dinner Clubs this semester is taking place on 16 September, 7–9pm at the i3 Building, NUS Enterprise.
Designed as an intimate dinner for around 20 participants, Founder Dinner Club bring students and founders together for candid conversations around the entrepreneurial journey. This session will explore why founders choose to build, the challenges that test their conviction, and the future they hope to create — particularly in climate tech and biotech.

Eugene Chia - Co-Founder & COO of Ecovolt
Ecovolt is a sustainability and energy-tech startup developing smart systems that help buildings monitor, manage and reduce electricity use. Its technology tracks plug-load energy consumption and helps identify wasted or idle energy, enabling buildings to operate more efficiently and lower emissions without major rewiring.

Kyle Lao - Co-founder & CEO, MenSC Labs
MenSC Labs is a women’s health biotech startup developing regenerative medicine technologies using menstrual blood-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and exosomes. It aims to turn menstrual blood, a renewable and non-invasive source of stem cells, into scalable research products and future applications for women’s health, while also exploring menstrual-blood-based testing for uterine health
