BIPOC Improv Jam: Seattle
Ready to activate your creativity, build confidence, and connect with your community?
Join The Improv Place for the BIPOC Improv Jam: Seattle, a welcoming and empowering event exclusively for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color performers and creatives!
What to Expect
No experience? No problem! This event is designed for all skill levels, whether you've been on stage for years or have never tried improv before. We'll use the fundamental improv concept of "Yes, And..." to:
Build Confidence: Practice thinking on your feet and embracing the unexpected.
Improve Presentation Skills: Enhance your ability to communicate clearly and dynamically.
Community Build: Forge new connections and support each other's creative risks in a safe, fun space.
Have Fun: Above all, laugh and play!
The Jam
We'll dive into classic improv games like "Zip-Zap-Zop," "5 Things," and maybe even create a few new ones right there! But the exploration won't stop with just games. We'll also use improv to explore:
Scenes and Characters
Music and Rhythm
Movement and Poetry
Spontaneous Inspiration
Come as you are, bring your unique perspective, and get ready to say "Yes, And..." to a night of fun, growth, and solidarity.
