Catalyst Scouts (Ages 6–9)
Scouts are curious explorers developing their foundational skills in coding, logic, and digital literacy. Through play, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, they discover that technology is not just something they consume, but something they can shape, build, and use to express themselves.
Over 22 lessons (5 months), each 120 minutes long, Scouts learn both independently and in groups. The course follows a structured digital literacy curriculum, with one special chess class each month to sharpen critical thinking and strategic skills.
By the end of the semester, Scouts will know how to:
Use a computer confidently with keyboard and mouse.
Organize information into digital folders.
Create digital applications, drawings, and illustrations.
Build and edit contact lists, and communicate responsibly with tools like Google Hangouts.
Safely exchange information online and even create their own chat-based games.
Design personalized storage systems with digital tables and labels.
Understand internet safety, including how to handle credit cards responsibly online and in real life.
Collaborate on a group graduation photobook that showcases their stories, drawings, and achievements.
The Scouts program lays a strong foundation for future creators and innovators—combining digital confidence, teamwork, and safe technology practices in a fun, engaging way.
