Nature Tech Demo Day - From Nature Risk to Nature Strategy
The Challenge
There is a growing recognition across boardrooms and investment committees that nature is a strategic variable. Ecosystem degradation threatens supply chains, strands assets, drives raw material price volatility, and creates cascading financial liabilities. Conversely, companies that actively manage and restore natural capital are beginning to unlock new revenue streams, de-risk operations, and attract long-term capital.
But making that case — with numbers that hold up in an investment committee or a risk review — remains genuinely hard. How do you quantify the avoided cost of a flood that didn't happen because a wetland was intact? How do you put a figure on the resilience value of a regenerative supplier relationship? How do you model what nature inaction will cost your business over a ten-year horizon?
What This Demo Day Is
A focused, curated session bringing together 3-4 nature tech solution providers whose tools help organisations move from passive nature risk disclosure to active nature strategy — including natural capital valuation platforms, ecosystem services quantification tools, nature-related financial risk modelling, scenario analysis, and investment opportunity assessment.
Each presenter gets 10-15 minutes to demonstrate their solution, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. Solutions are selected for complementarity. They span risk quantification, value creation, and long-term strategic planning, so that together they map the technology available to organisations ready to treat nature as a financial and strategic asset.
Who Should Attend
CFOs, risk officers, and strategy teams exploring nature as a material financial risk
Sustainability and nature leads trying to build an internal investment case for nature action
Investors and asset managers assessing nature-related risks and opportunities in their portfolios
Corporate treasury and procurement teams working on long-term supply chain resilience
Anyone who needs to answer: "What does nature risk actually cost us — and what is acting on it worth?"
What You'll Leave With
A grounded understanding of what nature valuation and risk modelling technology can do today — how organisations are quantifying the financial stakes of nature inaction, what early movers are building into their strategy and investment frameworks, and where the technology is mature enough to deploy now.
Closing the Loop on 2026
This is the fourth and final event in NTC's 2026 Demo Day Series — and the one that brings the full year into focus. Over the course of 2026, we have traced nature risk through supply chains (Q1), measured what's actually happening to biodiversity on the ground (Q2), and built the analytics to communicate it credibly to management (Q3). This session asks the final question: now that you can see it, measure it, and report it — what is it actually worth to act?
