About the Host:
Community Climate Council
The Community Climate Council is a youth-founded, not-for-profit organization advocating for local climate action through enhancing climate literacy and political advocacy in Peel Region, and beyond.
We were founded on the desire to create a platform for our community members to call for bold local climate action and civic change while also working to develop our own community-led solutions. It is because of this focus that our entire approach is now community-centred and solutions-oriented.
City of Brampton
Brampton is one of Canada’s fastest‑growing and most diverse cities, recognized for its strong commitment to sustainability and community well‑being. The City continues to invest in protecting natural spaces, enhancing biodiversity, and building a low-carbon, resilient future. Through initiatives like the Grow Green Festival, Brampton showcases its environmental leadership and invites residents to learn, connect, and take climate action together.
