Building a better future for our planet starts with building a better community. Climate Action Club is a Bay Area group where we connect with fellow climate-minded folks, learn about the root causes of the climate crisis, and take meaningful local action together.
We know that showing up to new spaces can feel a little intimidating—that’s why we’re creating a warm, low-pressure environment where you can bring your full self. Let’s talk about what local climate action can look like—right here, right now—and how we can support one another in shaping a more just, sustainable future from the ground up.
📍What to Expect
This is a potluck-style picnic—bring a blanket, some of your favorite vegetarian or vegan snacks and nonalcoholic drinks to share!
🕚 Schedule
2:00PM - 2:15PM: Casual chatting and new people intros
2:15PM-3:30PM: Small group conversations around local climate topics
3:30PM - 4:00PM: Relax, snack, and connect with new friends

We're diving into a fascinating conversation inspired by Bill McKibben’s argument that politics, not technology, is the main obstacle to a clean energy future. You'll explore how cheap, decentralized solar power is threatening fossil fuel monopolies and why this energy shift is also a fight for democracy and local ownership.
