From the cyber-mountains of East Asia to the strobe-lit basements of London, the EAST2046 Festival evening party invites you into a sonic portal where tradition collides with techno-futurism. And we are bringing Qigong to the club!

Across two rooms, we explore sound as cultural speculation. In the main room, expect experimental club energy and boundary-pushing sets led by our headliner — a shapeshifting force in East-West fusion, bending rhythms and references with surgical precision. In the small room, we shift gears: house, pop edits, and soft lighting for cosy bodies and warm basslines. During the night, you will see visual effects accompanied by top digital artists with the music.

But this is not a usual DJ night. We are bringing the past into the future. Qigong is a unique Chinese exercise system that uses breath, mind and movement to enhance health and vitality and stress release. As night falls, we awaken the ancient within: Nightclub Qigong—a guided journey of breath and movement—pulls centuries of embodied wisdom into the pulse of now. The Qigong will be led by Dr Alex Boyd, who has been practising and teaching Qigong for over 30 years, and have developed the first related course at the university level in the UK. The Qigong movement will be accompanied by visuals.

His work mainly breaks down the form of elements existing in the landscape of the real world and dismantles the order, arranges anew in the screen and transforms the order. He has exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, Start Art Fair, K DIASPORA, Japan Crypto Art Festival 2023, COEX XPACE, ART CONNECT and Korea NFT Festival.

Psyche Studio

Psyche Studio is a pioneering digital art collective comprised of five female artists. Using digital media such as 3D visuals, XR (Extended Reality), AIGC (AiGC), and interactive installations, they explore the visual expression of emotion, constructing a unique artistic realm at the intersection of virtual and physical. Their work has been exhibited at venues such as the V&A Museum in London, the West Bund Art Museum in Shanghai, and the ASAPCE Gallery in New York, where they continue to explore the possibilities of digital art in cultural expression. Psyche believes that art in the digital age should serve as a bridge connecting the virtual and the real, the individual and the collective, and emotion and technology. Through their distinctive aesthetic, they imbue cutting-edge technology with a humanistic warmth.

Leo Lin

Jiayi (Leo) Lin is a designer and digital artist based in London, UK, and graduated from the Royal College of Art. He is the co-founder of A0 LAB in London. His work is rooted in the observation of contemporary social phenomena, reimagined as socio-political conflicts within speculative future contexts. Through 3D visual storytelling and future-oriented thinking, he creates fictional scenarios that explore potential futures. His works have been exhibited on international platforms, including the 2024 London Design Festival and the 2024 Milan Design Week.

Fanzu Studio

Fanzu Studio  specialises in new media stage performances featuring interactive audiovisual experiences, immersive narrative spaces, and locally-based interactive art. In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, Fanzu embrace new technologies without being completely swayed by them. They believe that maintaining intellectual independence and autonomy is the most important quality for a creator. The studio's name, "Fanzu" symbolizes the resurgence of symbolic digital art in a modern context and represents their approach to both the industry and life.

Yiding Zhang

Yiding Zhang’s artistic practice explores the intersection of sound, space, and digital aesthetics through modular synthesizers, Max/MSP, and TouchDesigner. He creates audiovisual performances, installations, and experimental films that examine how technology intervenes in perception, memory, and cultural structures. Inspired by Brutalist architecture, urban environments, and Eastern philosophy, Yiding’s work embraces roughness and disorder as an aesthetic strategy. Through sonic texture and structural abstraction, he aims to construct immersive experiences that are both sensory and critical—revealing the hidden infrastructures that shape how we hear, move, and imagine within technological societies.

Jonathan Zhu

Jonathan is a creative technologist using AI to democratise design and unlock scalable mass customisation. He has founded his own business in the space of AI, with a background in computational design from The Bartlett and hands-on experience building AR and 3D generative AI tools.
