The Making — Creative Hackathon — The New Human (San Francisco)
The New Human Creative Hackathon unfolds as one shared global experience across multiple cities and time zones.
Join San Francisco's gathering of The New Human Creative Hackathon — a one-day sprint to imagine and build the future, together.
This is happening in tandem with our events in Milan. We gather here in SF as part of the CODAME ART+TECH Festival 2026, exploring a single question: Who is The New Human in 2036?
Schedule
10am-12pm (Ignite): Hosts introduce provocations on the theme. Ideas collide. Teams coalesce. Projects take their first breath. This is the spark. A shift from "what if" to "let's build."
12-1pm (Break): Lunch served. Cuisine TBD (please share any dietary constraints when registering, we'll try to accommodate).
1-5pm (Build): Hack, make, experiment. With today's tools, a few focused hours is all it takes to turn an idea into something real. Build in your medium: code, image, video, sound, writing, performance — there's no single way to create. Bring your favorite creative materials to manifest your team's vision.
5-6pm (Reveal): Each team shares what they made. Not a pitch competition — a collective unveiling. Prototypes, films, experiments, unfinished futures. We share, we witness, we celebrate.
No prior experience required. A creative hackathon at CODAME means expressing an idea in your own medium — code is welcome but never required. What matters is the intentional use of art and technology, and a meaningful connection to The New Human.
Strong teams bring together different creative forces and skills: the maker, the storyteller, the systems thinker, the human-centered explorer. Come with a team, come with an idea, or come ready to find your people.
Ideas born here may grow into full installations presented at San Francisco, Milano Art Week + Design Week 2026, Shanghai, and beyond.
Let's build the future — playfully, together.
