We bring together business leaders/owners, founders, engineers, and beyond who want to build and ship fast with AI.
We’ll kick off with a quick intro and goals, followed by an optional Claude / Codex set-up. Folks are welcome to pair up or work independently. During lunch which will be provided, if you're not deep in a coding flow state, you can listen to two TED-style talks. Later, we will wrap up with demos.
Seating is limited to keep the room focused and collaborative.

Dan McCreary: Intelligent Textbooks
Dan is a true titan in AI and data architecture. His career is a masterclass in innovation—from designing chips at Bell Labs and working for Steve Jobs at NeXT to leading AI initiatives as a Distinguished Engineer at Optum.
He is now pioneering the "Claude Skills for Intelligent Textbooks" project, an open-source initiative designed to reinvent how we create educational materials.
Dan will deliver a deep dive into building intelligent textbooks with Claude Code. He’ll demonstrate how he is leveraging these tools to move beyond static PDFs and into "Level 5" autonomous learning.
Alex Portnoy: Stop Prompting. Start Conversing
The quality of our interaction with an LLM depends less on clever prompting tricks and more on knowing what kind of conversation we are actually having. LLMs respond better when we stop treating prompts as commands and start treating them as purposeful conversations.
This talk introduces a practical conversational model for working with AI more effectively, including how powerful linguistic distinctions of Speech Act Theory can improve the quality of interactions and outcomes in both prompt engineering and agent design. Extra bonus - if you use these distinctions in your interactions either AI your human communications will become more effective and you will be persisted as more powerful.
