Alvin Seng(MOL Plus)
Alvin Seng is the Growth Manager and Head of the Singapore Desk at MOL PLUS, based in Singapore. In this role, he leads growth strategy, startup engagement, and partnership development, supporting new business creation and expansion initiatives across Southeast Asia and beyond. With experience spanning investment evaluation, due diligence, international market entry, and stakeholder management, Alvin works at the intersection of corporate innovation and the startup ecosystem, with a particular focus on maritime, sustainability, and energy‑related solutions. Atsunori Isshiki(Toyo Seikan Group)
Toyo Seikan Group Holdings is a Japanese packaging manufacturer across major materials with an international presence. Established in 1917, our company has accumulated technologies and know-how on food storage and food supply chain. Isshiki is leading the Singapore branch’s efforts to build strong, long-term partnerships across Southeast Asia’s Agri‑Food Tech ecosystem through investments in early stage AgriFood Tech startups, PoC, and collaborations. Another key initiative is he is leading in Singapore is R&D on food preservation for novel foods. His expertise lies in biotechnology, biochemistry and microbiology with applications in the agricultural and food sectors, with more than 25 years in microbe-related R&D including microbe detection and sterilization assessment.
Kiewai Khoo(JETRO)
After graduating from National University of Singapore and Nagoya University of Japan, Kiewai started her career in the Japanese Airline & Cosmetic Industry for corporate planning, marketing & staff training. In 2003, she joined JETRO Singapore supporting foreign affiliated companies for investment into Japan, as well as Japanese companies’venturing into Singapore. In 2015 April, she was posted to JETRO Tokyo HQ as the project manager for the ASEAN desk. She assumed the position of Director for Innovation Promotion at JETRO Singapore from January 2020, to continue support ASEAN companies of their business venture into Japan.
Takeru Kawashima(01Booster Inc.)
After graduating from Waseda University, Kawashima worked in business development for a Japanese Medical Device company in the EMEA region, then transitioned to Product Marketing at a Global Medical Device company. Joining 01Booster, Inc., a Japanese Accelerator, in 2017, he managed several accelerator programs and developed international partnerships with accelerators outside Japan. In 2018, he founded "Across Asia Alliance," a community of Asian VCs/accelerators in collaboration with international partners. He also founded "InnoScouter, Inc.," focusing on enterprise SaaS startups, and later successfully exited to 01Booster.
Allen Chng (Insignia Ventures Partners)
Allen Chng is Vice President of Strategic Development and Operations at Insignia. Ventures Partners, a leading early-to-growth stage venture capital firm focused on Southeast Asia, managing capital from premier institutional investors including sovereign wealth funds, university endowments, and renowned family offices across Asia, Europe, and North America. With over eight years at Insignia, Allen leads strategic development, portfolio value creation, and fund operations. He works closely with portfolio founders across the full spectrum of company-building — from corporate development and fundraising to strategic growth initiatives. His sector coverage spans Fintech, B2B SaaS, and Digital Healthcare, where he has partnered with high-growth companies at various stages of their journey, helping them navigate growth milestones, scale operations, and access capital from a globally diverse investor base.
Allen has been at the forefront of bridging Southeast Asian startups with the Japanese market. He has facilitated engagements between Insignia portfolio companies and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), helping founders explore listing pathways and unlock strategic partnerships in Japan. Multiple Insignia's portfolio companies are now actively engaging with the TSE ecosystem as they evaluate Japan as a keystone market for regional and global expansion. He is strong proponent for cross-border synergy between Southeast Asia and Japan — where Southeast Asian tech innovation stands to unlock significant value in Japan's market, while Japanese companies increasingly look to Southeast Asia as a critical frontier for growth and expansion.
Atsushi Takahashi (Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation)
Atsushi Takahashi is Senior Manager at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation (‘MUTB’). From April 2018, he is supporting the foreign startups who are interested in IPO on Tokyo Stock Exchange and has achieved the listing of 6 companies such as Appier group, Omni-Plus System, YCP Holdings (Global), AnyMind Group, Astroscale Holdings and Innovacell.
Theodoric Chew (Intellect)
Theodoric Chew is the Co-founder and CEO of Intellect, a global mental healthcare company delivering end-to-end support to over 4 million people across 150 countries. Inspired by his own lived experience with mental health challenges, Theodoric built Intellect to address the structural limitations of traditional, human-only care models. Kazuhiko Yoshimatsu(Tokyo Stock Exchange)
Joined the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) in 1997, where he was responsible for developing listing, trading, and compliance frameworks. In 2003, he moved to Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA), engaging in international regulatory dialogue, including coordination with IOSCO, matters related to the U.S. Sarbanes–Oxley Act, and discussions on international accounting standards. In 2005, he joined Japan Exchange Group (JPX), serving in roles covering Media Relations and Investor Relations, Corporate Planning, and Global Strategy. He later contributed to the establishment of FinCity.Tokyo in 2019 and supported initiatives promoting Japan’s financial markets and policy recommendations. Since April 2021, he has been with the Tokyo Stock Exchange Singapore Office, leading efforts to expand global investment in Japanese equities and to develop ecosystems that attract overseas startups seeking to list on the TSE.
Junichiro Goto(Tokyo Stock Exchange)
Junichiro Goto, CFA, is General Manager, New Listings at Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE), where he supports overseas companies and startups seeking to access Japan’s capital markets. He is currently responsible for the TSE Asia Startup Hub, an initiative designed to support promising Asian startups as they explore business expansion, fundraising, and potential IPO opportunities in Japan. For more than a decade, Junichiro has been engaged in supporting foreign companies in their efforts to list on the TSE. Through his experience in listings-related functions at TSE, he has worked on a wide range of topics, including IPO processes, regulatory considerations, and post-listing engagement. During his time in the listings department, he also supported listed companies in their disclosure practices and was responsible for projects aimed at promoting and enhancing English-language disclosure by TSE-listed companies, with a focus on improving communication with global investors. Earlier in his career, Junichiro was seconded to a global investment bank and participated in an exchange program with the Stock Exchange of Thailand. He has also served at the TSE New York Representative Office, where he was involved in information sharing and dialogue with U.S.-based investors as part of TSE’s international outreach efforts. In addition, he has worked on research related to IPO markets and the U.S. equity market. Through the TSE Asia Startup Hub, Junichiro works closely with promising startups and investors across Asia, as well as Japan’s IPO-related stakeholders, helping internationally minded companies better understand the Japanese market and connect with long-term growth opportunities.
