About the Artists
MOONBEAN
MOONBEAN is an Ontario-based psychedelic electroclash duo who lace their live, synth hardware set with lush vocals. Their music explores acid-house, synth-wave, techno, disco, and their live performance gives off punk energy. Speaking to self-expression and community their lyrics weave mantras to empower their audience. Although their music is electronic, MOONBEAN plays an all-live hardware set leaving room for improvisation, experimentation and audience engagement. Their musical inspirations align with Peaches, Nine Inch Nails, Ladytron and Eurythmics. They've toured nationally twice and internationally thrice and headlined Hillside Festival, Folk On The Rocks, played Rainbow Trout Music Festival, Sappyfest, Pride Toronto and many more.
Amarelle Hall
Amarelle Hall is a black & queer hip-hop/electronica artist & DJ from Hamilton, Ontario who prides herself as a character beyond the bounds of Earth and of a more lunar personality, whose music takes no shame in reflecting that identity. She blends ethereal, space-age synths with heavy, hard hitting drums to produce songs fantastical and colourful in nature, blending elements from boom bap, lo-fi, jungle, and downtempo. Her weapon of choice is a MIDI controller/groovebox which she uses not just for production, but also for melodic and finger drumming performances during her live sets.
Dunaway
Dunaway(he/they) is a DJ, programmer, and founder of Squat (FKA Places) — a DJ collective based dedicated to showcasing emerging local talent through weekly radio broadcasts, free workshops, and local underground dance events. As the curator of Squat, Dunaway spotlights a local DJ or radio host each week, creating space for sonic experimentation and shared radio storytelling.
On the dancefloor, Dunaway drifts between fourth-world jazz-bient, feathery techno, and percussive sassy switch-ups — a warm yet edgy strut that feels both unexpected and strangely familiar.
