Vidu AI is an AI video generation platform built for fast, high-quality visual storytelling. It helps creators turn text and images into dynamic video — and will be the official video creation tool for this challenge.

60–90 seconds to tell your story.
You don’t need to create an entire drama series. Start with one compelling idea such as
Short-form Narrative — Tell a small, complete story.
Build a beginning, a conflict, and an ending around one compelling situation.Key Scene — Make one moment matter.
Reimagine a pivotal confrontation, confession, betrayal, or discovery. Show what the characters want, what stands between them, and what changes by the end of the scene.Trailer — Make us want the whole story.
Introduce a character, reveal the stakes, and build toward an irresistible question. Connect your shots through a clear narrative thread, giving viewers a reason to care about what comes next.Character Story — Give someone a new spotlight.
Explore a character’s untold past, private motivation, or hidden vulnerability. Tell the story through the villain’s eyes, follow a supporting character, or reveal what happened before their defining choice.Visual Concept — Bring your interpretation of the world to life.
Ground your visual ideas in a character’s experience: an arrival, an encounter, a discovery, or an escape that unfolds into a short narrative.Short Drama Prototype / Demo — Show the promise of a bigger story.
Create an opening episode or a sample installment that introduces the central conflict and shows how the drama could develop. Give this segment its own progression, then leave a compelling reason to keep watching.
Submit your finished video and a brief workflow explanation describing how you adapted the IP and created the work.

You’ll receive the Story Brief + sponsored Vidu credits, then have 24 hours to create, generate, edit and refine your microfilm.

Join us in Dubai for an optional in-person creator workshop after submission.
Meet fellow creators, exchange workflows and ideas, explore AI creation together, and connect with the local community.

Works will get the global review and final results announced on October 18 online.

🎥 Vidu AI is the official video generation tool — the main AI-generated video content must be created using Vidu.
📖 Your film should follow this edition’s shared IP / Story Brief.
✨ All submissions must be original work created for the challenge and submitted before the deadline.
Full judging criteria, submission requirements and challenge rules will be shared with registered participants.

Do I have to be in Dubai?
No. The challenge is online-first. The Dubai Final is an optional in-person gathering.
Can I join as a team?
Yes. Join solo or in a team of up to 3 people.
Do I need professional filmmaking equipment?
No. AI-native and hybrid workflows are welcome.
Will the story be provided?
Yes. All participants will receive the same IP / Story Brief when the 24-hour challenge begins.
Why do you need my email?
Your sponsored creation credits will be issued directly to the Vidu account associated with the email provided during registration. Please make sure it is accurate.
